[Day of Chaos]

I fell away from reading the prog around 2010. Kept buying weekly until I realised I had a two year backlog!

Last Dredd storyline I can definitely remember is Tour of Duty, but I think I read a bit further than that.

I'd like to start reading the prog weekly again, but would like to catch up on some of the stuff I missed in between.

Will the Day of Chaos, Trifecta and Dark Justice collections catch me up with the majority of important events?

Are there any other Dredd stories that you would recommend I'd track down either for continuity or just for being great stories? (Trades ideally or digital back issues maybe, depending on how much that would cost).

Also, what are some of the popular new non-dredd series that I've missed out on? Any in that period that are screaming to be collected but only available in back issues?

Really enjoyed this.  Well worth a quid.  It's done in landscape format but seems to be more dense than the 2 screens = 1 page pacing a lot of similar webcomics seem to be using.

His animated gif comics are really great - and they do lose something when flattened for PDF - but if you pay under a quid (one dollar) or more he can get a new PC and get back to making more and posting them online for free.

Remember that scary Korean webcomic that everyone was passing around about a year ago?

Webcomics are huge in Korea, and now a new site, Comic Panda, has launched that brings some elements of the Korean model to the United States. While it offers free hosting for any webcomics creator, the site is particularly looking for episodic stories that can be read in big chunks in a vertical-scrolling format, like that scary comic. This is a little different from the standard webcomics model here, with its daily or thrice-weekly single-page updates.

I poked around the site a bit and found the vertical-scrolling format is pretty easy to read; I had previously encountered it on the Korean-owned site NetComics, and of course Dash Shaw uses it in Bodyworld. Still, looking at the site raised some questions for me, and fortunately Comic Panda's Chris Klein was ready with some answers.

This looks really interesting.

I've only had a quick browse of the site and none of the strips have really caught my interest, but I find the scrolling format is a really nice way to read comics on the ipad or pc.

ComicPanda's approach of free-for-everyone, creator-owned hosting alongside developed content is commendable.  I'd love to see this venture do well.

I was just wondering if anyone here gets 2000AD/Megazine through subscription to Ireland?

Do they arrive in good condition?

How much extra is the postage?

I get my comics from Page45 in Nottingham via mail order, but the postage costs are getting a bit high, as I clear my orders every few months.

Also, I'd probably stay more up to date with the stories if they arrived weekly, intead of in 3inch bundles!

So we got to talking about a game night.

What night would be good? Tuesday or Thursday? We don't want to clash with the Yap Shop Wednesday chat.
