Another woman at war as seen throughout history, but appropriated by the church for ass-covering reasons.
By the time she was put in charge of armed troops, the French were on the verge of surrender (presumeably it was a weekday), and her military campaign was based on confounding the English by presenting them with the one thing they were unprepared for - Frenchmen not only ready for a pagga, but actively looking for one.  At one point, she even led a breakout from a town under French control so she could start another fight - which she won.  From this point she was excluded and marginalised as a presence on the battlefield, up to her suspiciously convenient capture by the English and subsequent execution for heresy.

Personally, I'm not convinced of her supposed 'visions from God', and always assumed it was something added to history after the fact to help play down the church's culpability in roasting a French hero in a show trial, maybe to keep in with the French after they got their country back.
