I took some time out from drawing lots of little panels to do a quick chick-pic today. It was nice just to be able to breathe on the page a bit. It's not anything like a finished piece of that, but it's served it's purpose (to give my head a break) so it probably won't get any further.
My rendition of Captain Sarita, though I tried to make her a bit more Arabic featured around the nose and mouth to make her a bit more exotic- I really love Steve Yeowell's art a lot, but I'll concede his women are sometimes a bit 'samey'. Anyhoo- like it, hate it or go 'meh'!

A woman's smile is, IMO, one of the hardest things there is to capture with pencil and paper. This is just lovely, Mr Deever. The hands, also the undoing of many a pencil-monkey, are just superb.

You may feel justifiably proud of this piece of work, and can drink your weak lemon drink now.

It's a really nice drawing.

Were you using Lucy Pargeter (Chas Dingle from Emmerdale) as a face reference though? It does look a lot like her.
