not really news but i sent an email to big finish for their magazine letters page  and i asked 2 2000ad  questions just thought id share their reply's
Q1.Any chance of Strontiuim Dog Crime Chronicles or Judge Dredd Crime Chronicles season 2 ?
A1.The Judge Dredd CCs didn't sell that well, so nothing further planned at the moment. Convince everyone you know to buy them and who knows?
Q2..Any chance of the 2000AD audio CDs going back in print?
A2.Again, we'd have to press a certain number of copies minimum and it's not worth the outlay at the rate they sell. We should take another look at getting the out of print ones out on download though. I'll mention it.

Now that's an excellent idea.

COMMANDO FORCES

I try my best to buy everything so that they keep making stuff. It's everyone else that lets the side down  ::)

I bought the Crime Chronicles as downloads and I'd probably buy some of the others as downloads too - if they were a sensible price.  I'm not really surprised they don't sell all that well at the price they are, to be perfectly honest -  nothing to do with quality just that the comics are a niche enough market as it is and there is probably a little too much stuff released such as GN's and Other Stuff, so I save my pennies and the only tie-in stuff I really get (apart from the Case Files and of course the Prog and Meg, as well as downloads of those...) is Dredd RPG related stuff - and even that is getting harder and harder to justify.

I did like the novels, though.

The Doctor Alt 8

Am I the only one who would love more Johnny Alpha stories? And is despirate to hear Durham Red get an airing?

Surprised to see these arent available through itunes

Only thing that comes back on a Dredd search is an interview with Pat Mills which I'm sure is interesting but dont think I wanna pay £6.95 for

It's a shame they didn't sell. I bought them all and they were great!

I'm disappointed there won't be any more - I can't see we'll get lucky enough for a third attempt, though I wonder what inspired BF to go back for a second try.  Had they just got to the point of finally selling enough CDs?

I think the new narrated style didn't work as well as the original acted-out adventures.  That said I think the last one was the best and it always takes a while for everyone to find their feet when establishing these things, so it's a pity they didn't get the chance to continue.

The original line was great.  I've bought various copies for friends - can't remember which ones but I do know I've given away three copies of "Pre-emptive Revenge".  Like the Doc I really enjoyed the Johnny Alpha stories.  I would've liked more of the adventures with Wulf, Middenface and the Gronk.

I also thought it was a pity they never got to do a Rogue Trooper one as they originally planned.

Loved the original series of BF cd's, hadn't realized there had been a 2nd one (I knew it was in the pipeline but they obviously passed me by). Will need to hunt them out, I loved listening to those things and was gutted when they stopped.
