If I buy these in the store, wher they're half price, can I then read them via the iPad app, where they still appear to be full price?

If it's not there yet, there will eventually be alignment between what you buy on the 2000 AD website and in the app. If that's not the case now, just grab a copy of Chunky, which is by far the best iPad comic reader anyway. (It's free, although if you buy the single £2.29 IAP, you can access local shares to more easily fling comics from your PC or Mac to your iPad.)
