Now tell us what is your favorite logo to grace the pages or rather cover of the prog.

When I die, I want to die like my grandfather who died peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming like all the passengers in his car.

Old age is the Lord's way of telling us to step aside for something new. Death's in case we didn't take the hint.

Rogue Judge

I like Stamp IV - Mar 21 2001 - Dec 5 2007.

Runner up, The Classic golden age - Sep 20 1980 - Dec 26 1987.

Definitely the classic '80s one, covering progs 178-554. I also have a soft spot for the one after that, but I think that's probably just nostalgia for my era.

Although I have some wistful nostalgia for the first one (which also reminds me a bit of the later Zzap!64 logo), I'm unsure whether it's my favourite. 555–841 is the only other one from the classic era that appeals to me. It's striking and modern. But I'd honestly say the redesign for 1234 is the best of them. I'm also glad that after briefly flirting with whatever the heck that thing on 1700–1740 was, Rebellion agrees, given that this is the logo the comic/brand is still using today.

1980-87 or classic as it's called.

Because it is.
If I'd known it was harmless I would have killed it myself.

A shiny logo for the prog's golden period.

As an aside, I remember being pretty disappointed when I was in the back prog collecting phase at the earlier logos.

SmallBlueThing(Reborn)

Definitely the metallic classic that sat from #178 #554. Although I'm still not convinced that is not just nostalgia for the bogroll paperstock- as the nicer paper from the end of that run diminishes the effect of the logo, and the comic looked so much better from #555.

But for the purposes of this vote: yeah, that one.

555 - 841 for me. A little bit of nostalgia- I loved how the covers told the story of Tharg burning the old Yule logo one prog, then the next week Dredd enforcing the new regime.

But I loved how it gave the cover art much more space, and reflected the sleeker and more mature approach to the prog's readership.  I didn't miss the old one at all.

Can I go for half a logo?

2010 - 2011 - the first half of the logo combines the chrome of the classic logo with the more mature look of the 555+ look which followed. The secondary logo next to it is redundant.

Other than that: classic logo.

Stamp & Banner II i.e. the current one. Geometric, clean, brilliant.

I'm no statistician, but even if you're a judge yourself at least one of them is going to take your hand off.

Magnetica

Prog 1 to 85.

It just screams excitment.

And I'm voting for it despite the fact it is from the era of 2000AD when I wasn't a reader and to this day I still don't actually own that many Progs from then.
