My good friend Mark Willis has recently got super droid Cliff Robinson to do some recreations of some of his classic covers (I believe the originals were damaged or lost.)

So here's an updated version of 496...

And the classic prog 511, cor!

I'd heartily recommend you spend a few minutes marvelling at Mark's collection, it's stunning.

Now I've picked myself up off the floor,I would like to point out that Dredd has the wrong Lawgiver in those.Tsk!Should be MkIs.

:p

But seriously - that's mighty fine work there. How are they mounted?I can see a shadow at some of the boxes...

To tell the truth, you can all get screwed.

The lettering is on an acetate overlay.

they were updated to be 'modern' dredd, with new lawgivers...

Would someone with the know how magic it so they appear next to the original covers so we can compare and contrast? Ta

Hi Guys,

Thanks to Pete, my unoffical publicist :-), for highlighting these latest commissions from super droid Cliff Robinson.

Cliff was also kind enough to provide computer coloured versions of the covers too. I'll try and get some pics of 'em on my CAF gallery by the weekend.

I haven't had the time to get to the framers, so the shadow is a combination of the actetate overlay (as Rufus pointed out) and my crap photography.

Nice to see there are some other Robinson fans "out there", I feel his work has been under appreciated over the years.....

Cheers

Always loved his art. But what I'd really like to see, is him back on some strip work! Thargy, what about it?

Looking at those lawgivers, I think I'd go with the mark 2 as it makes better sense with the multiple round thing. But the mark 1 has a really vicious look to it doesn't it?
