Can anyone help? I'd like to check this comic out, but I can't find anything on the web beyond what seems to be an old snailmail address.

According to the gubbins on the inside front cover of the current issue (Winter 2001), the editor/publisher Mike Sivier can be reached at mikie@wurzzz.demon.co.uk.

There is quite a 2000AD connection with Violent! - even apart from it being inspired by Action. This issue sports a fantastic cover by Frazer Irving and interior contributions from Jim Campbell, author of The Megazine's 'Inspectre' and Future Shock writer and artist Simon Gurr.
Previous issues had contributions from Paul  Holden and Simon Fraser.

I'd quite like to read some more British comics, whether they just be fanzine style stuff or professional publications.

So if anyone knows what exists I'd be very interested, I've been away from this stuff for some time.

Perhaps we could compile a list of what similarly themed British comics have hit the news-stands since 2K AD 's inception?

Sci-fi / Fantasy:

2000 AD
Doctor Who Weekly / Monthly
Starlord
Tornado
Warrior
Captain Britain
Eagle
Scream
Near Myths
The Adventures of Luther Arkwright
Crisis
Deadline
Toxic
Wildcat. Ahem.

And whatever happened to Trident Comics and its various titles?

But I digress. . .

Borderline:

Mask
Spiderman and Zoids
Battle Action Force / Storm Force

Dammit, where's Denis Gifford when you need him?

"Dammit, where's Denis Gifford when you need him? "

I'm afraid he died a couple of years ago.

This is indeed the correct address for Mr Sivier ...

Not forgetting #1's cover by Colin MacNeil and the pseudonymous H. Janus who - rumour has it - might have had something to do with certain recent 2000ad strips in collaboration with Mr Irving ...

I'm only really familiar with the 2000AD-related fanzines,

Dogbreath - Strontium Dog fanzine
Violent!
Zarjaz - 2000AD fanzine
and the daddy of them all ...
Class of '79

I don't know much about Dogbreath but I understand the other three are all producing new issues to be published soon.

Shame. A true comics enthusiast if ever there was one.

Except, of course, he thoroughly detested 2000 AD and Judge Dredd especially.

Thanks guys! BTW, Mr Janus' first name wouldn't happen to be "Hugh", would it? ;-)
