page 3, I really hope everyones enjoying the story so far, I know the pace is a bit slow, bare with it, the action pics up as I establish the characters and situation.

I had to delete one of the pics off the previous post as they were over the attachment limit, sorry.  Here's the second page.

Hi All, it's been a while since my last post but I've been hard at work putting together a submission for the Prog. I decided to have a go at writing my own story and character for many reasons, mostly because I just had an idea bonching around in my head and I really wanted to put it down on paper. I really like to hear from like minded creatives, on opinions on my strip or critiques or if anyone has got any ideas on how I could improve on the strip. I've included the first 2 pages of what is now a twenty page story, I'm rubbish at attaching pictures so I hope they load properly.

Thanks for the compliment Dan, I've got about 12 pages of story pencilled, I've just gotta get round to digitally colouring it. I'll drop you a line when I've got more stuff finished.

Rough sketch out the whole pose, then draw in more detail the torso and shoulders, then the neck and then the head. It's the best way to prevent the head from appearing to be disjointed from the rest of the body, the limbs all work on the same principle.

Hi Jim thanks for the advice, I've tried attatching an image the way you suggested, I'm a bit of a technofool but hopefully it'll work.

Welcome to the board / Re: Illustration Submission

About 5 years ago I managed to get my art work published in the Judge Dredd Role Play Game (Mongoose Publishing), I produced hundreds of pictures for the book and the expansions (although nothing sequential) . It gave me the oppurtunity to meet some of the guys at Rebellion which was brill. I thought I had my foot in the door and quickly followed up with a submission script. But alas it wasn't to be and I'm still trying to break into comics to this day.

I went to the bristol comic convention a few years ago. A friend andmyself both showed our art to the then tharg who was actually interested my friends stuff, but being a bit of a pot head he blew his chance by not following it up.  But if you're trying to get your foot in the door I recommend doing the conventions portfolio in hand.
