Quote from: "Buttonman"I still hurt after spunking £3 on an abortive 2000ad phone thing,

Say what? What do you mean - is this something I will want to spunk £3 over?

Quote from: "Bolt-01"This was really Buttonmans idea, all I did was channel it...

+++ Congrats to Dark Jimbo on 2000 posts! +++

Quote from: "King Trout"I think we've been spoiled by Saturday progs.
We are spoiled by saturday progs - I complained at first that I missed the way they brighten up the first day back at work, but now I'm mighty annoyed if it isn't there of a weekend! Still, it's here now so panic over...

ABC warriors- I like the way these old tales have been 're-imagined' (God I hate that word) around
the character of Zippo (who will no doubt turn out to be Howard 'Mr 10%' Quartz in a new body).
Clint Langley's art makes my eyeballs want to lick the page. Stunning. Some pictures just NEED a splash page!

A good Dredd too - some may say a bit unoriginal, but I like to see it as an Old-School, meat'n'potatoes Dredd.
Cool use of the bionic eyes!
Excellent Lob cover and the story's pretty good too. in the absence of the index, can some kind soul direct me to the progs in which
klik
featured? I need to read up on my backstory.

Red Seas and Stalag 666 - undecided

Not a classic Droid Life either, but overall a very good prog

This was a thread about a comic.

Can we leave all that shit for other boards? (or at least start a suitable thread elsewhere on the board if you want to have a rant about religion, politics or conspiracy theories).

This thread has got nasty and I'm outta here....

If you keep a wary eye on 'automatic' editors choice orders and cancel the subs as soon as you've bought the required minumum, the initial freebie is often worth it. You will have to buy a few overpriced items however - reduced price hardbacks usually, that are dearer than full-price paperbacks.

And congrats to Dark Jimbo on his upcoming 2000th post!!

Judging by the lack of a review thread, I'm not the only one who's saturday prog didn't arrive. And there's no post on Monday - arse!

Aaargh! Leave me alone! it's all too complicated!    Future Shock is real and it's looking more attarctive every day!

I don't want to "social network", just chat. I don't need a phone that downloads youtube, only that makes phonecalls.

It used to frustrate me that my dad couldn't work the vidoe or that my grandad wouldn't use the telephone, but I'm starting to get it - there comes a point when you just say drokk it, I can't be arsed keeping up any more!

That's rather clever! I love the pencils/inks/colours swipe.

However as a semi-technophobe you'll never wean me off proper comics. (I've got a PC and an ipod nano but that's as far as it goes - when I read about the things that can be done with the bleeding-edge of techno-kit, I feel I'm just one more over-complicated i-gadget from going Futsie!) :?

nope - I noticed that too.

Once you click on Community, there's no going back. It's kinda like the mafia - once you join, you can never leave.
