Good work guys.

1- Nic Freeman - Ro Jaws (love the colour, composition and the fact it doesn't look digital, whether it is or not is another matter..)
2- Steve Austin - Dredd vs The Thing (grimy and full of terror)
3- Andy Lambert3 - King Mongrol (great idea, nice colours)

HM's Mimikeke (even though this wasn't finished I'm liking her style and look forward to seeing her work in these comps more often)

Tough choices but my top 3 faves are as follows:

1 Ro-Jaws by Nic Freeman - so clever and deftly executed too!
2 Creature V Klegg by Andy Lambert - gorgeous line work and hatching
3 Dredd Vs The Thing by Steve Austin - replay loved the painterly style and composition!

this was a fun theme!

Tough call this month  :o

1st: Steven Austin - Dredd vs The Thing.
So good it deserves to be written! Tharg, please make this happen. I will personally supply you with polystyrene cups for the rest of my life if you do!*

*(Not really.)

2nd: Leigh S - Bite Entertainment.
Love this style of painting, really well realised and clear. And any excuse for boot-knife is welcome in my book!

3rd: Nic Freeman - Ro-Jaws.
Beautiful work. Crisp, clean and not a line out of place. Poster-worthy.

HM - James Dilworth - Prager.
Dark Jimbo - The Curse of Abelard Snazz
Andy Lambert2 - Creature vs Klegg

Darren Stephens

Another cracker of a comp and, as usual, very difficult to judge. Having said that.....

1: Leigh S,  Bite entertainment. Beautiful mock cover image. Love Leigh's work ands this is one of his best so far.

2: Nic Freeman, Ro-Jaws. Quality idea and brilliant execution. Very funny, too.

3: James Dilworth, Prager. Why? Because DILWORTH, that's why!

H.Ms go out to Steve Austin, Neil Mclements, Hoagy and AndyLambert1. Superb work from all!

#1 - Dark Jimbo - The Curse of Abelard Snazz (I think I owe him one after some support from him on one of my other threads!)

#2 -  Fiona Boniwell - Slaine MacRotten (She's new here? Naturally, I had to choose Slaine. Anything about Slaine is automatically nominated by me in any of the first three categories. JUst one word of advice to the artist. I would have gone with Doctor Jeckle and Mister Hyde for a Slaine monster. Incredible Hulk for a Marvel-Hero-Slaine.

Adam Green - Werewolf Dredd v Dracula (Because, I'm very fond of Were-wolves, but not in the way many people might suspect ;))

Bad City Blue

Very hard to choose this one.

1 - AndyLambert 2 - Creature v Klegg

2 - Steven Austin - Dredd vs Thing

3 - Fungus - Sump Lump Cream

HM - Nic Freeman - Ro Jaws

1. Bagley - Framkerstein
Ingenious merger of characters. Great composition. Love the green eyes and cable hair. LOL at the nuts and bolts for ears and the tank track boots idea!

2. Wayne Hughes - Dawn of the Dredd
The same as 2. Simple and effective. Poster-like.

3. allied72 2 - Durham Red
Bold offset colour scheme, complemented by non-reliance on detail. Classic.

HM

Dommi Kerley - Dreddless Horseman
Hoagy - Medusa
Nic Freeman - Ro-Jaws
Fiona Boniwell - Slaine MacRotten

"Mods: Please delete my previous post. I got my second and third choices the wrong way round and can't figure out how to edit my mistake. Totally noob."
