I wont try to educate you about Visigoths, but the Gothenburg - or Goth - model is a system of management imported from Scandinavia in the late 19th Century where the bar is run as a non-profit enterprise with any excess monies being put back into the local community. There's another one in Armadale and, I believe, a couple in Fife.

In other words, you generally get them in right shitholes.

Gothenburg: 19th Century Scandinavian Co-Op.
Visigoth / Ostrogoths: Germanic peoples and kickers of Roman arse.
Goths: black clothes, white make-up, fields of the nephilim.

I wouldn't want to put anyone off, The guy who runs the Goth has been doing a great job in turning around the venue, foods very good, regular gigs, banning the crazies etc, so I'd say yes go to this it should be an experience, just you know watch yer back at the bus stop and say 'Turnent? barstards! ' if asked anything and mind and stand up at the end of the night in the Legion.

Mind you Mussleburgh can be worse...

Hi, allow me to introduce myself....I'm the chav who lives in Prestonpans and who is organising the mart.

If you are in any doubt as to what sort of town "The Pans" is, take a look at these photos I took of some neds getting drunk in ma hoose - you might know them better as Malcy Duff and Nulsh.

It was a riot. There was (organic) polenta and mung beans everywhere.
