hey ade,

nice work, as always. but i was going to say the same thing about the lettering... the thing with it is, it's 'almost but not quite' and it doesn't help the art at all in my opinion. editors don't need to see it - they see bare pages all the time... they can judge a page on it's own merits.

And you did that on purpose as well?
i'm not very possessive about being an artist.

Jock tweeted a couple of hours ago:
i]jock4twenty: more DREDD work just come in. logo's, billboards, more costumes.[/i]

Somebody tell that man how to use an apostrophe before they let him design any billboards!

Cheers

Jim

yeah, that was a spread from (i think) prog 2000. i think ash did it by way of apology for never finishing a script he had. perhaps david bishop will know more?

my first job for DNA was adapting the script in comic form... somewhere between story boards and a strip. very rough style tho - not really publishable. but a 102 page comic of DREDD already exists!

and on a more important note - can we all just say a warm, warm welcome to Kriss77 - a few posts up there. as it's Carlos Ezquerra.

cheers

that's exactly right. mike was 19 at the time (i think) and was told outright to ape carlos' style. as greg staples was told to ape bisley's painted style when he started. i think he was 19 at the time too.

yeah, DC's lawyers are currently on it...

interestingly, that image was an in progress version, with a different face. taken from this piece as far as i can tell---

my guess is a lazy designer took the image and thought 'what the hell'.
