Help! / Re: No progs in the shops!.........

It appears that they were never in store at all rather than selling out quick. If anyone from Rebellion can throw some light on this I would be very grateful.

Help! / No progs in the shops!
10 April, 2003, 08:01:16 PM
Being a non subscriber due to my mail going missing constantly, I have been unable to get this weeks Prog in any of the usual shops like WH Smiths, etc. Is this down to the dual covers?

They have no idea if and when it will arrive. Can anyone put any light on the subject?

The Thing and the French connection package are definitely two of the most entertaining DVD's ever. John Carpenter and Kurt Russels audio commentary is great.

What with another Alien Boxset as well, why do Sci Fi fans always get ripped off? The Star Wars website is considering charging people as well.

I can't really recommend anywhere that I know of. A lot of the comic stores I go to only have back issues of American stuff and 2000ad gets forgotten about. Sorry!!

If this is referring to the possibility of Hershey getting offed, how about Dredd actually succeeding in a vote for Chief Judge? It would be an interesting aversion to the usual pounding the streets stuff. What does anyone else think?

Can anyone fill me in on the Chief Judges man as i missed that period??

The Aliens work best as the practically indestructible beings in the original Alien film. You got the feeling that even getting blasted by the Shuttles afterburners wouldnt destroy it outright. I just hope they are not mopped up in a couple of episodes by a load of Mechanismos. Flint draws a great Alien by the way.

I have only rediscovered Dredd and 2000ad again in the last year or so after a break of about 10 years. I have started catching up on the era I missed including the Ennis stuff.

I liked Helter Skelter apart from the way that Dredd killed off most of his greatest foes in about two pages. I must admit though that out of all the other Ennis GN's that are available only that, Death Aid and Goodnight Kiss really appealed to me. I won't mention Judgement Day as I can't get it anywhere..Grrrr.

For a relative newcomer to the board what is the main reason Ennis attracts so much controversy? I get the feeling that most of his stories are shooting, more shooting, etc. Sorry if I am opening up old topics of "heated" debate!

Will Judgement Day ever get a reprint in the near future? I missed out on that originally and the combination of Dredd, SD and tonnes of Zombies is irresistable to me!

Rebellion should send you the money for your support! That is devotion of the highest order! While we are on the subject, does anyone know why Judgement Day and Die Laughing are so hard to get hold of?
