What 2000ad characters would you like to see on the big screen?

Personally I'd like to see a Lobster Random movie directed by Takashi Miike. Imagine the bloodbath that one could be!

In a perfect world, what would you like to see and what actors/directors doing the job?

NapalmKev

Canon Fodder -  with Rutger Haur as 'Canon' himself. Although he may be a bit old now.

Absolom - although I think it would work far better as a TV series, (and thargs 'Future Shocks' would also make really good telly, imo).

Ordinary - with Robert Dwny Junior playing the lead.

Cheers

Daveycandlish

John Hurt as Absolom.
Ken Campbell as Lobster Random.
Vincent Cassell as Strontium Dog.
And Sylvester Stallone as Dredd ;-p
An old-school, no-bullshit, boys-own action/adventure comic reminiscent of the 2000ads and Eagles and Warlords and Battles and other glorious black-and-white comics that were so, so cool in the 70's and 80's - Buy the hardback Christmas Annual!

I think we ascertained a few months back that Richmond will get first dibs on any screen portrayal of Ordinary!  ;)

Ghost MacRoth

Ted Danson woulda made a great Sam Slade.

I don't have a drinking problem.  I drink, I get drunk, I fall over.  No problem!

Skullmo

Cannon Fodder starring Klaus Kinski and directed by Guillermo del Toro

Zenith directed by Wes Anderson and starring Ryan Gosling doing a cockerny accent

Big Dave directed by Zack Snyder starring a beefed up Paddy Constandine
It's a joke. I was joking.

Eric Plumrose

Dan's yer man for ZENITH. IIRC, the flying fella can't sing, either.

Not sure if pervert or cheesecake expert.

Definitely Not Mister Pops

A couple of Game of Thrones based picks:

Pedro Pascal as Nikolai Dante

Natalie Dormer as Tyranny Rex

You may quote me on that.

Fungus

Angelina Jolie/diGriz.

Brian Blessed is Wulf Sternhammer.

Tony Robinson is the Gronk.

It's got to be David Bradley to play Absolom, hasn't it?

Skullmo

I think Kenneth Williams should have voiced the Gronk!

Once you've cast Channing Tatum as a character who walks around in a red posing pouch and politely enquires "can I eat you, please?", you've got the female 18-45 audience in your lap. Soderbergh to direct, in the hope of rekindling the Magic Mike of their previous collaboration.

Also; Domhnall Gleeson & Laz Alonso would make a good pair of Gun-Sharks.
And throw in Yvonne Strahovski as Demi while you're at it.
