For long months they stood there, not bothered by the passage of time but aware of a growing sense of boredom. From time to time Fire looked up to say something but quickly stopped himself. Finally, Mortis broke the silence.

On another note, when did Judge Mortis end up with a horse's skull for a head? I thought Bolland based his design on a ewe's skull, and that's what Ezquerra's Mortis looked like too. Did he just think "Ssssscrew it!" and go for a species skull change? Or could it be -- I really hope it is, actually -- that during Necropolis, when Giant blew his head off and he fumbled around to retrieve it, he ended up with the wrong skull! Then he happened to see himself in the mirror and never looked back?
