And here's a hero not so much of 2000AD as the Judge Dredd Megazine:
the unstoppable Phil Winslade.

And here's another art legend who has racked up a phenomenal prog count just in the last few years:
Dave Kendall

A jump from the present ALL the way back to 1977 - here's an unsung hero among unsung heroes,
Mike Dorey

What a fantastic image to start that post with!

Mike Dory is a late 60s early 70s British action movie in comic form. Sometimes his sci-fi looks a bit crude and dated, but damn he does hard and gritty like no one else!

Sorry, meant to post this on Xmas eve, a fitting time for one of 2000AD's great Annuals and Specials contributors, Eric Bradbury:

While I've made it absolutely clear elsewhere I'm no longer speaking to you while I plot your eventual and complete downfall I just need to pop by and comment on this one.

Firstly my utter shock that Eric Bradbury hadn't appeared already as I just assumed he'd have done much more for Tharg. Secondly what a great write up. Bradbury is a true underrated genius and indeed never put a foot wrong. As you point out its criminal that Tharg never gave him a horror story to work on. I mean what would his legacy with 2000ad have been if he'd been give say 'Fiends of the Eastern Front' not chuffing 'Mean Arena'?!?

Right I'm back to not speaking to you and trawling Sheffield's less salubrious dives to find someone who will... do ... things to others for money...

Rolling on into the new Year, but at a slower pace, here's another proper heavy-hitter, Alan Davis:

That's a great reminder of Alan Davis' work, thanks.
