Pual, According to John Ainsworth over on the Doctor Who website that is www.gallifreyone.com they'll be single discs. Their single disc stories have retailed at ?9.99 in the past. Should they be doubles they'll come in at ?13.99. They also do very good subscription deals where you pay for five and recieve six or thereabouts.

General / Publisher interview.
« on: 14 February, 2002, 11:55:15 PM »
This months 'Comics International' - 143 -(available from a comic shop near you today) has a four page interview with Jason Kingsley the publisher of 2000 A.D. and the Megazine. It goes into deatail about the business behind the mags and the upcoming reprint scheme. Worth ?1.25 of your money I'd say.

Well, according to the interview in this months 'Comics International' (?1.25 from a good comic shop near you!) they are aiming for new readers but they are also aiming at fetching back lapsed readers on the theory that they are an easier target as they already know what the product is.

As for the cost of the complete back catalogue you're no where near at ?600.
?25 for 10 issues.
?250 for 100 issues.
?2500 for a 1000 issues
plus ?750 for the remaining 300 issues makes it
?3250 for the complete back issues.

There are plans afoot for reprints, but not on C.D.-Rom. Check out the 'Uber-Technology reprints' thread. (Number 706?) for details. It's too long a quote to type out twice.

Absolutely, there's nothing like a good book. Or book shaped collection of reprints of 25 year old comics.

If I could afford the ?3250 for the back catalogue I'd be in heaven.

This is a quote from Comics International magazine. It's from Jason Kingsley the publisher of 2KAD. It's part of a large, 4 page, interview that covers the business behind the magazine. This seems appropriate to the conversation.

"Every single page is being scanned. 44,000 pages in all. Then we can make them available in reprint albums. So we're going to be reprinting them in five or 10-prog collections. They'll all be in black and white, except for the collection covers, and buers will be able to customize which issues they want, as they'll be printed to order. So an individual could ask for a five issue run of prog six to 10, for instance, or a 10-issue run from prog 53 to 62. We will be trial launching them at ?19.95, I think, for five, and ?24.95 for ten."

That's all copyright Quality Communications.

I may be the last to know this but I posted a querry on this on the Doctor Who website www.gallifreyone.com
and got a reply from two of the producers of the new range of Audios. Three strands of Audios are due out.
J.D., Rogue Trooper, and Strontium Dog. The April (when the first release is due) Megazine cover disc was also confirmed.

That's the thing about actors, they pretend to be other people. Use accents different to their own. You know, ACT.

Actually I doubt they could afford Jeanyboy.

Is this for real? I love B.F.'s audio work, and always check out their site, but haven't heard anything about J.D.? Anyone got links to the news-sites?

The narrator for one of the chapters of Shakara seemed to be claiming responsability for Shakara. Maybe he'll return to his makers and we'll find out about him/her/it then.

At least, that's were I see it going.

Can we not have it as a Louise who used to be in Eternal thread?
