Here's the story.

I'd imagine some people will be irritated considering how popular the original 70s series was. (Cue: Not another remaaaaake, etc, etc.)

However, there's plenty of other routes the series could take.  The original series was quite a major departure from the comics after all, decent though it was if a bit repetitive, in my view. It could be very interesting. I'm certainly interested to see Del Toro's take influence on it.
