Haggis. That's one thing I've never tried. Not from distaste or anything like that, mind.

Me neither. I'd definitely give it a try, though with no disrespect to the numerous Scotch* boarders, it sounds fucking dreadful.

*Sorry, I can't help myself

Drokk! I missed this and now the problem's that now you're on 3005, which isn't as nice a number as 3000 :-[

Veteran Judge making a rookie mistake like that....time for the Long Walk?

With a scowl like that I pity the Cursed Earth muties.

George Bestial--how did I miss that one!?

The same guy draws Drunken Bakers--painful, heart breaking hilarious stuff

Neo-fascist Jack Black and his dog Silver always makes me laugh

Love the Drunken Bakers. As you say - heart breaking, and quite brilliant.

A little-known underground comics writer called Alan Moore is a fan : "I think the Drunken Bakers is like Samuel fucking Beckett or something. It's horrible and really funny."

I love Jack Black and his Dog Silver too.I laughed out loud at Jack's reaction to a murder in the last issue: 'Wow! Shit just got real!'

I'm reminded of the quote about Richard Littlejohn in his favourite paper, the Guardian:

QuoteIn the past year's Sun columns, Richard has referred 42 times to gays, 16 times to lesbians, 15 to homosexuals, eight to bisexuals, twice to 'homophobia' and six to being 'homophobic' (note his scornful inverted commas), five times to cottaging, four to 'gay sex in public toilets', three to poofs, twice to lesbianism, and once each to buggery, dykery, and poovery. This amounts to 104 references in 90-odd columns — an impressive increase on his 2003 total of 82 mentions. There is, alas, no space for us to revisit the scientific study which found obsessive homophobes more responsive to gay porn. But Richard, we're begging you: talk to someone.

QuoteGenerous trimming and re-editing of scenes would make it a decent live-action cartoon.

Personally, I'd generously trim all of it.  But that's just me.

This one.  My favourite Viz strip in years, and I never miss an issue.  Read it and feel deeply disturbed:

A fairly meagre number, given the length of time I've been here.  12 freaking years (between me and my earlier incarnation, Jayzus B. Christ with capital letters and spaces).

I've gone from a young man to a middle-aged one since I started posting here, and it's the absolute best place on the internet, and I've heard the internet is quite large.

All trolls are weeded out quickly (including the earliest one I remember, death monkey, before the name 'troll' was even used for these types), leaving only the nicest, friendliest people.

Many good things happen here and sometimes it feels like the only thing that keeps me sane.  W.R. Logan sending me the Apocalypse War reprints out of the goodness of his heart.  Richmond Clements not hating my guts (one would hope) when I didn't deliver some artwork I promised for Futurequake.  The Shark's two tributes to comic greats.  Working with Johnny Stress on the Advent Calendar Christmas cards.  The word 'arsom'.  Many pieces of technical advice from other posters, and many, many riddles of half-remembered songs and movies solved.  The build-up to the film, then all the nods to boarders in the background when it came out.

As I say, 3000 posts is feck all compared to most of you long-termers, but this forum is indeed arsom.

Sorry to hear about your job, Rich.  Glad to hear you're back in the podcast though.  Going to have my morning(ish) run and listen to it now (I'm sort of kind of not working much myself these days.)

Vast tracts of post Horned God Sláine.  The fact that his past was changed, to the point of forgetting who Ukko was, then it suddenly back to normal again, for example.

And that the ABC Warriors suddenly went back to 22nd (?) century Mars from Nemesis' far future, seemingly without the use of time travel.
