'It' was a manifestation of the dark childhood ID, I think, but certainly a living thing.

Killer Klowns sucks, but it does have its own propietary theme song.

I guess the problem writing the story would be getting a lot of clowns to be dead in full make-up to start with. There would have to be a special clown graveyard for them to rise from. Perhaps if Samuel L Jackson would promise to say "I am sick of all these mutherf***ing zombie clowns" we could actually get this thing financed.
