QuoteHad a big long cuddle today and didn't want to let her go.

Wow, I missed the whole thing on the Life Spugs thread but that has quite literally brought tears to my eyes.  I'm really glad to hear things are improving. Don't have any kids myself so I can only imagine how difficult it all must have been, but it sounds like your daughter truly is a battler and long may she keep it up.  Life doesn't spug really, we're all lucky to have been the cells who got a chance to live.

Excellent! you've just reminded me, i had Adam Ant stationery when I was 6.

Also, I like my Guinness at room temperature, the way they seved it when I started drinking. Sadly, it's like American love and coke in green glass bottles - they don't make it any more.

Fantastic stuff.
Hellblazer, in my opinion, is a comic that's practically crying out for some Lee Carter art. Haven't actually read it in years but i feel your stuff would suit it down to the ground. That said, don't leave 2000ad too quickly!

I'm listening to an unlikely combination of 80's electro and new romantic and 90's rave at the moment.  Never quite stuck to a genre myself.

I also refuse to use text speak, give up my seat on the bus and hold doors open.
I am warming to the idea of smileys, but have made a trap for myself:  I started my stand-up comedy (unpaid) 'career' a few years ago by slagging off smileys and people who use them, and now cannot double back for fear of being a hypocrite.
Lolz!
Roffle!
OMG!
YMCA!

Quote'At-swim-two-birds' by Flann O'brien, again.

Reading another of Flann O'Brien's, myself. The Dalkey Archives. What a great writer.

Mind you, I'm also halfway through re-reading Terry Jones' Medieval Lives, another cracking book (Did you know, for example, that medieval scholars never thought the earth was flat?)

Just finished reading LOEG: Black Dossier. Enjoyable, if not earth-shattering. Nice bit of 3d, you don't see much of that these days. Except in reality of course

Happy birthday, O Great Bipedal Ovum.

(Hey, I've just realised that the word 'oval' literally means 'egg-like'.  Splendid!)

Reminds me of Jonah off Summer Heights High. Anyone seen that one? Classic

There'll hardly be a Chief Judge with a comedy name, will there? I know East Meg 2 had Josef Traktorfaktori, but that was Garth Ennis

Quote from: "Godpleton"Got vol 1. out from the library and if it wasn't for the art I would quite happily say it's the worst comic I've ever read. Frank Miller should just not be allowed to do anything.

Heh. That's a bit of a strict regime for poor Frank, but nevertheless a justified one.

I've just complained to my broadband provider about an ongoing billing error and got a second free month off them.
I've learned how to use my iPod properly (yep, I'm old).
I learned how to play the harmonica properly too last month after owning one for 13 years.
