In the light of the recent discussions over on the 2000ad Ultimate Collection thread about the improvement of the reproduction comparing Rebellion's edition of Slaine: Warriors Dawn with the new Ultimate hardcover. I wanted to ask if certain stories that have suffered from bad repro, such as Dredd's Father Earth and some sections of early ABC Warriors to name but two, can ever be improved to the standard we would like to see? Admittedly, I don't know a lot about the processes and difficulties involved and how it works; but wondered if, as technology improves in these matters, one day repro for older stories will also improve? (Could we one day, perhaps, go to the original progs and get a good result from them?) I think this is an issue that matters to most loyal readers.

Would anyone who is more qualified and who knows a bit about such issues care to comment?

'Cauldron of Blood' has been reprinted in the trade 'Demon Killer' (albeit with a mistake), but 'Dragoncorpse' and 'Ring of Danu' never have (something I hope will be rectified somewhere in this Ultimate Collection series as these are the only ones in the whole of the Slaine story never to be published again).

Does anyone know if the Slaine volumes will comprise the entire run? If not, what is likely not to make it?

In terms of Specials for Nemesis book 4, I am hoping that all of the following is included:

A Day In The Death Of Torquemada - 2000ad Annual 1984
Torture Tube - Diceman 1
The Garden Of Alien Delights - Diceman 3
Forbidden Planet - 2000ad Sci-Fi Special 1987
Torquemada's Second Honeymoon - 2000ad Annual 1988
Tomb of Torquemada - Nemesis Poster Prog
Warlocks and Wizards - 2000ad Prog 700
The Enigmass Variations - 2000ad Progs 723-729

Hopefully all of the above will complement the end of the regular story and provide the complete experience. If they could be reprinted in colour it would be especially good, as some of the repro in the previous Nemesis phonebooks was extremely murky.

Hardcover deluxe editions of all the Case Files would be brilliant and definitely the way to go. (Sadly though, I don't think it will happen.)

Some good stuff coming out this year. But i'm a bit disappointed that there is still no sign of the 'Daily Dredds' volume three.

Although I am not that familiar with a lot of Jim's work, I thought that 'Skizz' was a great little tale and quite unusual. Rest In Peace.

Is this solely a Dark Judges story or does Judge Dredd also appear in it?

Just reading Dash Decent's summary of upcoming releases - should the Mek Files volume 4 not be a hardcover in keeping with the previous three?

I have for sale the six 'Preacher' Deluxe hardbacks which covers the entire story plus all the specials. The books are all first prints and are in absolute mint, perfect condition. I am asking for thirty six pounds plus postage and packing for these. (I have not yet calculated postage costs, as I am waiting to see if there is any interest first).

I hope that 'The Tomb of Torquemada' from the Poster Prog makes it into the mix somewhere. Also wonder if the latest story - 'Tubular Hells' from prog 2000 - will feature to bring us completely up-to-date.

Does a complete ABC Warriors in this new format mean no more Mek Files? I really quite liked those Mek Files editions...

Thanks for the shout, Jeffrey - but i'll probably wait for the 2000ad Ultimate Collection volumes as I think they will include additional stories not covered in these two trades.

I would really like a complete 'Sinister Dexter' collection (with no omissions) either in this Ultimate Collection or under Rebellion's own releases. It's a great strip in my opinion and more worthy of being collected than a lot of those that seem to make it to reprint. Maybe one day...?
