New Judge Dredd action figure line to launch in 2022

I agree with the helmet comments - it makes Dredd's head look incredibly narrow, like it has been shoehorned into something way too small.  It needs to be bigger.  His lower face/neck look old and tense rather than gritty or grumpy, but I'll let that pass.  The boots look too large in the toe - like the stylised 'clown shoe' look McMahon gives them these days.  Nice to see the classic Mk 1 Lawgiver.  I wonder if we'll get an alternative Lawgiver (Mk III would be a first).

I understand why the first figure has to be Dredd, and I even understand Death being next.  But Dredd, Death, Mortis, Fire, and the Lawmaster already came out under 3A.  (It almost looks like Hiya are cribbing from those guys.  Let's see if the Lawmaster is the original boxy type).  Something like Dredd, Death, Sov Judge, Captain Skank, Chopper (with surfboard) would give Dredd some different 'playtime enemies' to come up against, and incentivise sales.  If they were willing to use a bit more plastic, how about a Fatty with bellywheel, a Mechanismo and Trapper Hag?  Mechanismo would be a good one because, while there can be only one Dredd*, building up a unit of Mechanismos is perfectly reasonable 'in-universe'.  (Likewise, Sov Judges.)  The Judge Child would be another good one (saving some plastic this time!) as would Mean Machine.

So far, I'm not likely to buy yet another Death, Mortis or Fear.  Some distinctive, famous enemies and some figures that we could buy multiples of (generic street Judges, etc) would get sales from me.

And Tharg, please listen - classic ROGUE TROOPER!

Companies make what sells. Dredd and Death are the key characters. The other Dark Judges re well known and visually appealing. Captain Skank is a blip on the radar.

As for the sculpts, Death looks great. Dredd mostly does. I agree that the helmet is far too small, but I guess that's comic accurate. (I remember everyone griping about the Dredd movie helmet, even though that one was as a helmet would actually be in the real world, if someone's head were to actually fit inside it.)

I totally agree, but it's also true that consumers can only buy what's available.  (Like the old Ben Elton routine about dog food adverts - '"My dog woofs it up!" - well of course he does!  If he didn't he'd starve, seeing that's all he's got to eat!')

My sales graph for Rogue Trooper figures shows sales of zero units this year.  None at all.  That's got to at least be partly down to the fact there isn't a RT figure to buy.  Now, I'm not arguing they should put out Rogue Trooper instead of Dredd, but Mortis & Fire could easily be substituted for some other well-regarded and visually interesting enemies.  And even Judge Fish sold when it was available for sale.

Hence why I gave up waiting and started up mashing up model kits to create some of my favourite characters.
I've got plans for my own own articulated figures that I know will never get done as they may not sell in sufficient amounts. Hopefully they will be ready to share with the board in the new year 👍🏻😁

Zavvi currently have Dredd up for pre-order on their site, for the rather reasonable price of £19.99, no sign of Death though yet.
Several other UK toy stockists also have both figures up for pre-order.

Zavvi have a shocking record of actually coming up with the goods with figures. I'd wait for StarActionFigures or Comics and Cocktails to offer a preorder.

They sent me my Hiya Toys Alien figure, so I can only judge them by that.

Hiya Toys
Official site has DREDD and DEATH both listed at $19.99US which is around £15, but it's not clear if that includes shipping fee or not.
Brit-Cit gubmint/customs is similar to OZ, so both will screw you with extra's for taxes/duty at the border anyway.

Of course it doesn't! Shipping is added when you give them the shipping address. :)

That is the usual case with some of these Chinese manufacturers, although ThreeA's 2000AD lines pricing was International Shipping included from Honkers, which a few others also do.
I couldn't find any Shipping information on the HIYA site and the pre-order list price isn't indicated as RRP plus Shipping, so wrote I'm unsure.
I really appreciate your input as you are dead certain, so care to share the link with HIYA's Shipping Policy with pricing, if ordering directly from them?
;-)

I accept your scathing retort and apologise. :) I didn't realise there were online vendors where int. shipping was included in the sticker price.
