I think the line is horrible and cheesey myself Still be interesting if Dredd joins in and plays.

NO-ONE will beat that poker face.

The fact that I watched last night's highlight package and quite enjoyed it.

Didn't see any of the other ones though.

Am I in trouble...?

Personally -

Dredd taking his helmet off
Dredd kissing Hershey
Fergie being a midget (why not just call him something else?)

Thought Assante's Rico was one of the most underrated film villans though. Well there had to be something good in the movie apart from the talking guns.

I'd be very concerned if you sold any of that.
Although I do want a Kate the Bride mug.

Does that make me strange?

I kinda agree with Marbles.

Yet another trek through someone's subconcious giving the artist something more abstract to play with. (although I can't fault Ranson's work)

Anderson's story arc crashed to Earth long ago. Kill her off and replace her with Behr. She's the only slightly interesting one. Sadly we all know that they are all going to buy the farm except boring old Gistane.

I like his boss Fauster though. She is quite entertaining.

Watch this bloody storyline turn around and be a stonker and make me look like a complete tit. Actually I wouldn't mind if it did.

Could this be the precursor to the forthcoming Dredd epic?

Oh yes. And I've bought stuff from that guy before - crappy 1990 2000AD annual, so karmically (?) he owes me.

I'll just wait till he's bored with it. Always been curious about the banned episodes of the Cursed Earth saga.

Anyone know if they are up online to view somewhere?

Help! / How much exactly?

Hi guys,

Just curious what the consensus is here - this guy on ebay is selling a Prog 77 with a starting price of 7.50.

I know it is a rare one as it's one of the banned cursed earth progs, but what is the going rate? How much is my Prog 20 worth in comparison?

What a good day - a scrotnig prog 1401 combined with four dredd graphic novels via ebay, all in one fell swoop.

I am definately going to get the sack.

Standout strip this week - Droid Life - I'm totally serious.

Perhaps another way around this is make him less prominent. Looking through some old progs and Dredd isn't always the first story.

In prog 674 for example the first story that readers see is the second part of Universal Soldier and we all know how terrible that was. And its not as if it was a poor Dredd that week - it was the first episode of Necropolis for crying out loud.

And a couple of weeks before that Shadows started off the prog.

Being a lapsed reader who has only just returned to the fold - don't drop Dredd.

With a fantasy/sci fi remit introducing new ideas in practically every strip the familiarity of Dredd's world is needed and almost 'grounds' the reader. Don't think I would have come back permanently if it wasn't for Dredd. Mind you I did return slap bang in the middle of the Rico/Dolman storyline.

Not averse to seeing Dredd-less stories from MegaCity1 mind. There's so much richness there (as seen by the megazine) that it can be carried off.

Those people that want a rest from Dredd - would you be happy with a six part 'Judge Dredd' story that didn't feature him at all (perhaps until the last panel) or do you just want more space for other thrills?

Help! / Re: Broadband advice required........
03 August, 2004, 06:44:12 PM
Blue yonder is supposed to be mega cheap for 1mb broadband.

I was with Virgin until recently and never had a problem with them - no minimum contract either I recall, which was what attracted me to them in the first place.

With BT at the moment and it tries to impose too much of its own stuff on you for my liking. Good 1gb webmail service though.

Still not got my subs yet either. Although I'm not sure if there has been a first post yet today.

The postal service has gone so downhill this year it's unbelievable. One day when I was living in South London I got my first post at 6.20 pm.

Amazingly I then got second post (which I thought had been dumped for good) 25 minutes later.

Having not seen it I'm not in the strongest position to comment, but apparently the first Ocean's 11 was a load of tosh and they remade that.

And I love it. Can't wait for 12.
