Aha - got through to the game that everyone is talking about and not just the 'cards' printed on the back of some early progs.

The online game is fab and just what I was on about.

Cheers, Cap.

Not exactly up to date (or Dredd-verse) but very interesting.

That games section is going to get me sacked.

A bit of Friday fun -
My girlf bought me Top Trumps Comic Heroes 2 the other day and it struck me how wicked a Dredd-verse version of the game would be. I reckon to persuade Winning Moves to do a Dredd TT we should give them all the character info they would need here.

Going off the categories in my hand we have -
Height (cm)
Intelligence
Strength
Speed
Agility
Fighting Skills
(it'd be easier to mark these last 5 categories out of 100 rather than the stupid way the super hero cards have done it)

There's 30 slots to fill - who would you like to see included (alive or dead)?

And the first person to do Old Stoney Face gets a wedgie. Dredd Zombie would be cool though.

Somebody sniped me for a zenith book 4 but I didn't realise until after I'd done a little dance. What was mor eirritating was that I'd won the Zenith book 5 off the same seller at the same time.

Worked out alrightin the end because I got it 6 weeks later for about 8 quid cheaper, but hell hath no fury like a 'bayer sniped.

The pace of Luke Kirby seems a bit pedestrian for the so-called 'extreme editions'.

I've just got a couple of back progs off ebay and he's in some of those. Great artwork and good writing.

Forgive my ignorance, but I was on a prog hiatus around the critical time but -

What happened to Luke Kirby?

I thought it was a great, creepy little series that gave a good contrast to some of the other stories running at the time.

Is he gone for good or is he a little too recent for a bit of re-imagining?

How about it gets discovered that Giant is having an affair with one of the secretaries at the Grand Hall of Justice and somehow this gets plastered all over the media.

Later its discovered that Giant was sold out by Hershey who was also having an affair with the same secretary and she did a deal so that none of her liaisons get published. But then the vid-zines do the dirty and tell everyone anyway.

Too implausible? To add a bit more of a sci-fo element to it - the secretary is a female clone of Dredd.

FOBT is in the 'in' acronym at the moment. Can't remember the last SWP feature or even news story I did.

I will probably spell it zrajis, though going from my previous postings.

Fortunately (frighteningly given my typo-full ramblings) I am sub-free as I'm worked to death on a small-ish gambling industry trade mag.

But as Sainsbury's keep telling us - 'Every little helps'.
