Finished this series and it's absolutely superb stuff right to the end by far my favourite thing from the bundle so far. The various characters back stories are slowly revealed as the plot rattles forward with plenty of action and suspense. It's gripping stuff and it was increasingly hard to put down. Going to keep my eyes peeled for a copy of this in print as the art is glorious. Looks like there's a couple of follow up series which I might grab as well.

Another piece of erotica - this one at least has a decent mystery plot attached. A young woman is hired to work in a mysterious estate where the young gentleman of the house invents all kinds of bonkers machines. The staff are all in on a secret and keep feeding the new girl a mysterious elixir that transports her to different fantasy worlds where she confronts peril and inevitably looses her clothes. The arts great and really suits the setting and storyline. It's a bit of a shame it was all used as a vehicle to deliver boobs as there's a good story in here.

Miss book 2
This continues to be an excellent read. Our protagonists take on some more jobs and get into some scrapes along the way. Slim and Miss's backstories are fleshed out a bit more as we meet various members of their respective families. The world and character building is superb and the art continues to be a great match with it's gritty colour palette.

So is this Savage book the exact same as the The Guv'nor trade paperback by Rebellion?

Yes. And bloody good stuff it is too. Really glad we're getting another 2 volumes of this in the extension.

Swords of Glass and Bramble both look superb and Metabarons Genesis nicely rounds out the Metabarons content from the previous bundle. Plus there are a few other Jodorowsky bits I don't have in here, including Madwoman of the sacred heart with Moebius which I've heard good things about. Which I for £11.80 is probably enough value to justify the double dipping. I could live without the additional Milo Manara and other erotica bits but meh it's not like they're taking up book shelf space.

Hmmm. My copy of Savage has the spine of volume 79 (penultimate Dante) instead of 63. Anyone else get that?

I've seen people reporting the same on the FB group. Yet another printing foul up, their quality control really need to up their game.

At the end of the day though we have to accept the fact that its Rob Kirkmans and Terry Moore (?does he have a stake? In my head he's been bought out and there was some legal wranglings?) and Charlie Adlards (what's his stake in terms of ownership???) baby and if we respect creator rights we roll with the blows. Heck if they think there's value in doing this then all good. Hopefully it will get them even more readership and cash.

Oh absolutely - just because I don't want to buy it doesn't mean I'm opposed to its existence. I'd assume they've done their market research and concluded there's a big enough audience for this to net them $$s. Good luck to them.

Have to say I liked it as just B/w linework - not sure it really needed colouring. Still each to their own.

Maelstrom also got a reprint in Volume 76 of the Mega Collection (Klegg Hai!). Which means I must have read it but I don't remember anything about it. Not a great sign tbh.

Grabbed 2013 too as it looks like there's some good stuff in there. Does anyone know which day of the week they update this on? Would be annoying to miss one.

From my experience with both I'd say Spotify has a much broader catalogue. We used to have it on in the office and it was rare I couldn't find something I wanted to put on (and I have a pretty varied and occasionally quite obscure tastes in music).

I'll echo what CalHab said though - if you find things you really like and can afford to spare the £s then grab a copy from the bands Bandcamp or similar. It's also worth noting that Bandcamp is another quality way to discover new music. You can stream a lot of stuff for free on there and they have an app you can bung on your phone/tablet.
