For me it is always about the balance of the prog although I can read "full" gritty/dark prog but will be more inclined to be miserable when the prog is trying to be "full" humor/lite.

Out of the regen world Full Tilt Boogie was a great series, so far Department K is fine and I am curious to see what Pandora will bring to the party.

Speaking of One-eyed, do we know of the material that was published in the Eagle will be reprinted as well?

My understanding is  that the whole Trigan Empire will be reprinted. Here is a preview which mentioned the other artist as well: https://2000ad.com/news/out-now-the-rise-and-fall-of-the-trigan-empire-volume-three/

Film & TV / Re: Last movie watched...
« on: 02 August, 2021, 09:08:44 AM »
I watch the latest Fast and Furious movie (version 9) and it has now become clear that the believe is to make the next one more over-the-top than the previous one.  The action has become such a ridiculous extravaganza that the movie as lost all its charm and excitement. The franchise is just one big illogical super-charged ludicrous event driven drivel that not even a video game can top that. This is a ha-ha movie but not in a funny way. I do not mind over-the-top action but please do not boost it for topping the previous action scene.

General / Re: Skip Tracer is strictly better than The Order
« on: 01 August, 2021, 05:39:01 AM »
I am a big fan of The Order I like the helter-skelter time bending twisting storyline. The main problem with The Order is more to do with scheduling whereas Skip Tracer it is more related to the plot which is a more like the generic 80s sci-fi action movies.

So maybe The Order has too much plot and Skip too little plot. The main character in Skip is also written in away where the author believe we should not like the character.  The first few series Nolan came across as an angry person – which in my books never works. Whereas The Order might get a series once every 18 months Skip gets all the real estate and gets time to build a “following” (very much how the 80s classics)

Actually there was 3 times in the story wording used which was out of place for the strip and I felt that this was not the intent of an "all-ages" story.
