I know we owe Simon a lot for all the Dante world-building, but I have to admit, and i don't know why, his style has never quite clicked with me.

Gallagher for me.

If I'd known it was harmless I would have killed it myself.

Leigh Gallagher. The art in Kingmaker is shockingly good!

Again, I've not had the opportunity to read Dante...hopefully one day.

You are missing out. Dante I believe is the best strip to appear in the prog.
When I die, I want to die like my grandfather who died peacefully in his sleep. Not screaming like all the passengers in his car.

Old age is the Lord's way of telling us to step aside for something new. Death's in case we didn't take the hint.

Has to be Simon Fraser, I'm afraid. The architecture, the crazy perspectives, the crowsfeet and the dimpled flesh carry the day.

And I say this regretfully, with visions of zombie Cromwell's head on a pike, privvies stuffed with the victims of psycho hobbits and a giant shark leaping out of a jacuzzi still fresh in my memory.

The best...that's really saying something! I just need a decent collected edition...

He's right too.

Not sure if you can get the Hatchette hardbacks at a reasonable price still but that's the way to go if you can.
