I bought this for my son early in the year and on closure inspection, i thought maybe it had a real look even if slightly of Mongrol.
It's possible, although I think it's the kind of look that people could come up with independently.
God came up with the design first when He created the gorilla. ;)
I wouldn't be surprised if the designer borrowed from Mongrol though, even if unconsciously.

Would be a good candidate for a custom job - new paintwork and it could be a reasonable likeness!
It's a possibility. I think Derrick J. Wyatt does the character designs for Ben 10, and he did Transformers Animated where Prowl's design was influenced by Joe Pineapples or something (I know he said ABC Warriors was an influence).
