Sorry if this has been covered before. Has anyone ever compiled a list of the above?
John Caliber wrote a pretty exhaustive book called City of Dredd, which covered all the named places (not just blocks)
Not sure how you'd get hold of it though.

Not that I'm aware of but I would wholeheartedly endorse such a project.
When do you plan to start?
I have compiled a list of every time it has ever been in Downlode...
Last update I remember...

Blimey. I've managed to miss this.

The best of times
and the worst of times? Or would you need to add another city to do that?

Please share Cosh, I love those 'This is Downlode, the city that took your dreams and used them to decorate the shed" bits
I've seen a few lists, most recently when there was a thread claiming there were no blocks named after women.
Thanks. Another unicorn of a book that will nag away at me incessantly...

It's in a box somewhere. If I ever get a chance I'll look it out.

Grud on a Greenie! Who claimed that?
Enid Byton springs to mind not to mention Sylvia Plath...

It did seem like a strange claim to make - thinking about it, it may have been outside of the forum - probably not facebook, but maybe one of the geek / comic news websites.
Yootha Joyce? Maybe I imagined that one.

Not a block, but still Megacity real estate.
Midnight Surfer, prog 428: The Fountain of Yooth, erected by the Yootha Joyce memorial trust. When this topic came up before, I mentioned Sylvia Plath
(Young Death) and LaToya Jackson* - probably the only time those two have been cited in the same breath.
* Ennis & Ezquerra's Taking Of Sector 123, Meg 2.10
Rita Tushingham, Betty Boop (OK a cartoon character but still), Indira Gandhi - sure there's quite a few.
