Yes i love snow but snow is rubbish in towns. Its far better if you are in the countryside or live next to woods or something like that to appreciate the beauty of it.

...and get blocked in and not be able to get anywhere or do anything and have no public transport and receive no post and have your refuse remain uncollected for weeks on end...

There is always a plus and a minus side but they seem to manage alright in places like Canada and Switzerland and Austria.

Where they have snowmobiles and skis and various other equipment to deal with snow handy because they're used to it.

Well that much is very true.

And to make matters worse here the killjoys from the council spread salt and grit everywhere which ruins it .

;)

I do a bit of running in the mornings and snow can be an enemy, therefore. Esepcially when it freezes over and becomes ice.

But, when you're inside, and it's warm, and you're looking out the window at blankets of snow lying on the ground, it can be quite magical.

There is none here whatsoever.

Woke up in the night, it was snowing.  There was even a little in shady spots come early morning, but even that was gone by 10:30am.

Personally I'd rather live in a town with stuff than in the country with nothing and liable to be trapped should the weather decide to go nuts.

Snow is great! Brings out the kid in me.
When we had the big snowfall there a few weeks ago, I was out in the garden trying to unearth the car and I just couldn't stop laughing. There was just so damn much snow!!! It was the heaviest snowfall since 1984 or something and I don't even really remember what it was like then, so this was great. And making a snow robot with the kids was great fun.
Yes, please, send more snow!

Thats exactly how i feel after finding out Hastings and Eastbourne got it all yet there was none in Brighton .I really am envious of them .

I bet there is lots of sledging going on in the horses field next to the woods i lived next to as it was a very steep embankment that is perfect for it.I have lots of happy memories of it because it was quite a strong community where you knew everyone and everyone would be sledging in that field.Another road quite close to where i used to live was mentioned in local news for being impassable with several abandoned cars littering it because of ice.

At 41 yrs of age i am still excited over snow.

I both love and hate snow.
Hate because as a cable installer I work outside and its fucking freezing and hazardous.
Love because I have a great time with the kids and I was a keen Skier in my youth.

Here's a bit of snow in Norway, now I don't know if you'll be able to see me standing in front of my vehicle as we did camouflage it and ourselves very well.

Did you find me?

It's just drifting slowly in tiny little flakes.  Nothing settling, not even enough to cover your coat as you walk along either, really.  So sad.
