I tried to find Paul Staples a while ago but no luck. I would love one of his Nemesis pages and something from Finn.

He goes by Paul Jeacock now — this is him.

Bugger.

I find LinkedIn completely useless, but he's on there, too.

Two pages listed on Ebay,The Insurrection page has had it's starting price reduced...And there is a nice Inferno page....

Maybe I'm old but I much prefer the early black and white work, esp the Harlem Heroes(?) page above.  Though I do like the the Starlord S/Dog Carlos colour pages esp the first one as it blew my tiny nine year old mind away!

Had to be done, Ming. I've owned the page following this one for twenty five years so the thought of reuniting these two pages - probably for the first time since they were printed in 1981 - was quite literally keeping me awake at night. Must be almost two years now I've been mired in procrastination about it. Every few months this would flare up again, like a red hot cold sore and I'd contact the seller to see if it was still there...

You haven't hoodwinked blackmocco into buying your 'homage' have you?

But congrats on - soon to be - owning two very tasty consecutive pages Mick.

Nemesis and Torquemada made it the six thousand miles or so unscathed. Never been so relieved to receive a package...

The 2000AD doc got me wondering about how much of this stuff is still actually out there. In all the years I've been seeing people display their art, haven't seen a lot of this era Nemesis. I like to think it's all scattered around out there, safely under wraps in people's collections but all the talk in the doc of how some of the art ended up being "used" made my heart sink...

Congrats, Mick!  A stunning page and I'm really happy you managed to pick this up.  As you say, we don't see much Nemesis from this era kicking about, and this page is a cracker.

:)

I'm going off to stare at my cover now... I still can't believe I have that.

Some classic O'Neill there Blackmocco, congrats.

I can't even feel jealous- it's about as far out of league as a bottle of McDonald's Special Sauce for my chips.
