I’m not sure we ever had one.
We did, but it’s only available in some sub-forums.

That James Peaty sure likes his Sonic Youth ...
And the bad guys in the current series of
Diamond Dogs are the Silver Apples.
Basically, every Peaty and Kek-W script is anyway s Comic Rock one.

Nintendo in particular come across as dinosaurs in this regard, especially in their recent actions in suddenly deciding their priority is to shut down sites hosting NES roms, as if that horse hadn't already bolted over twenty-five years ago.
Maybe, but they're the ones still selling boatloads of Mario Kart 8 and a remake of a thirty year old Zelda game at full price so they probably don't really care how they come across.

Haven't been in any of these threads for a while but just thought I'd drop in and doublecheck that nobody in their right mind would dream of voting for Megat.... WAIT! WHAT?!

Megatropolis. Great looking, fun idea for a one-off in an annual or an anniversary Prog that very quickly became a string of references in search of a story.

From Grace. Beautiful looking, clever story from a pair of young droids bursting with new ideas. Over almost before it began: I really miss that era when Tharg would happily knock out a five or six part Thrill with no hint at teasing a series. Pretentious muck. I love it.

From Grace.

even the dragon is a unique take design wise
Aye, fair point. Not sure how feasible a Belardinelli warp-spasm Slaine sculpt would be...

... well that's it. We're done...

Welllll okay I'm not quite done I have this post, which I've been kinda dreading - no pun and all that - how the hell do I sum all this up. Almost 6 years of reading, 2500ish comics and annuals and specials and what not, 70000ish pages... and a lifetime.
Hey Colin. Well done on both your big reread and your recording of it. It's both fascinating and quite sweet to follow your enthusiasm and changing reactions to stuff.

I'd also like to apologise for not responding or commenting  more. At the start I was all fired up to get engaged with the conversation but gradually fell away. I frustrate myself by wanting to talk about my thoughts and reactions to art but finding it impossible to get something down. I really admire the way your able to jot down something interesting so seemingly easily. I have the same apprehension with Funt and his entertaining Thrill Coma thread. I still feel like I need to gather my thoughts and apologise about something related to Grey Area from two years ago.

Anyway, sorry for the dull diversion. Great stuff. When does the next one start?

Not sure I'll go for this. Spent quite a bit on the Dredd and Stront ones. They're all lovely figures but I haven't even undercoated them.

I know the game designer was waxing lyrical about his love for Slaine. Me too, but a lot of the characters are just generic fantasy so there's not the same visual appeal. Sorry guys.

Moonfall. Complete dross. Even the huge SFX disaster scenes which you think might be fun were too busy and confusing.

Matrix Resurrections. Actually kind of amazing. Have been trying to write down my thoughts on all four for about a fortnight but I'm a terrible person with no ability to focus on what's important. I found the first half, where everything is endlessly meta and self-referential, incredible. I'm fully aware that on another day, in another mood or from another angle in another light I'd have hated it. But I didn't.

Flags a bit in the second half but does have a well-deserved ending and a post-credits scene worth waiting for.

Not the film you want or expect but somehow all the better for that. If you hated Revolutions you might love it like I do as it goes even further in the same direction.

Is it just me or can anyone else hear Dusty Springfield singing the cover strapline?
Martin Fry surely?

I've never read Bryan Talbot's Grandville books, so there's a good chance he actually acknowledges it in them, but I was strolling along the rive gauche the other day when I saw a copy of this:

Turns out Jean Grandville is a legend in the world of anthropomorphic animal comics.
