Off Topic / Value of old books
14 January, 2010, 09:42:21 AM
Quick question - does anyone know of a website that gives reliable details about the value of old books?

I've recently obtained a first English edition of Asterix the Gaul and was wondering if it was worth eBaying...

Games / Nexus War

Anyone playing this?  It's sort of like a more sophisticated Urban Dead...

Only Igor Blimey and Deadlock (nee The Empty Child) have seen the likes of Tharg and John Probe about and I wondered if they were anyone I knew.

Off Topic / Limescale!

We've just had our central heating system replaced as it had stopped working for some reason.

Here's the reason why - our water tank is 2/3 full with solid limescale.  We've got real hard water here...http://uk.geocities.com/mattd.sharp@btinternet.com/limescale.JPG">

Did anyone see the Horizon about Titan yesterday...?

Was that the music from the Judge Dredd movie playing at the end?

...Walkers Crisps that it's green for cheese & onion and blue for salt & vinegar.

My brain was all psyked up for a bag of salt & vinegar French Fries (formly known as Stix, I believe) and it turned out to be cheese & onion flavour!

This is  a bad thing.

General / Alternative cover for prog 1159
21 May, 2003, 05:22:45 PM
Hello folks!

Will Logan's recent covers polls has brought something to my attention - my cover for prog 1159 is completely different to the one that appears on this site!

The prog I have has a portrait of Adam Cadman as the Hooded One, but the one shown on the gallery is a picture of Devlin Waugh, as well as a free 'Homeworld' demo CD. Am I the only one who has this, or was the Homeworld disk and alternative cover for subscribers only?
