Week… eerrrr is anyone keeping count anymore? (well yes I am its 5) and you know what if I said Week 4 was a step up in quality, well I’d suggest this week is even better. See what you reckon...

As with John Wagner, so with John Smith - a trill to show that not everything he touches is gold here (well in my opinion at least). Thing is it's up against a movie that’s most 2000ad aspect is it had a cleaning robot in… well i guess that and a couple of gun-toting angels

Just reply in this thread naming your favourite thrill of these two series at the beginning of your post (or use Bold tags so I can spot it easily) and say what you like about these wonderful stories after that.

Match ends early on the morning of Sunday 28th November and the winner gets a place in Round 2 (of 9!!!).

What on Earth is ALL of this?

For those that need ‘um and can be bothered to follow ‘um there’s some simple rules

Any questions, just ask as ever - and have FUN!

Well we’ve had a Tax Consultant, why not an Accountant - makes sense to me. Add to that an early 2000ad invasion of Earth by… well Goblin type things as I recall. Cool robots, naff aliens, does Colony Earth off much else?

Once in a while John Wagner produces a thrill that reminds us he’s only human and as fallible of you and I. Teenage Tax Consultant is seen by many (well me then) as one such thrill. But then he’s up against a story about a man whose skin is invisible… nothing else … just invisible skin… weird...

I wanted to say both of these started as Future Shocks - then I realised they probably didn’t. So I checked and it turns out both of them actually did… so… Both these thrills started out as Future Shocks but went on to be their own thing. Only one came back recently.

One thrill drips with 90s action movie cliche. The other is about an over-sized Judge from Brit Cit - HA! See what I did there… do you… is anyone reading this… hello...

Is there a four part story that has had close to the impact as Tribal memories? It’s hard to remember one. Mind Space Spinner’s recent(ish) evaluation has really made me think about it as a series. So what can possibly stand a chance against a thrill like that… well surely Andy Diggle and Jock stand a good chance!

Two stories that deal with pretty horrible leads. So I guess the real question is do you prefer devil and ghouls or dinosaurs strapped with weaponry. As ever a question you only need ask when referring to 2000ad!

Just as you all start to get a little sick of voting on some sub-par thrills I’d dare to say week 4 of this Tourney actually has the strongest line-up so far. There’s some real corkers to wrap your head around and some tough decisions to make.

[Peak behind the scenes time] I write these things up in batches and the first one I did in this batch was Dept K vs Dash Decent - so it's fitting for me to end this batch on another one that spans GGC life time with one of our newest thrills Pandora P coming up against one of the oldest in the Prog in Death Planet… I mean for you the balance ain’t as that earlier match up was days ago… but allow me my indulgence if you will. After all all you need to worry about is...

Forget all the bad blood that Satanus brought up… there’s a gag there, damned if after writing about 14 of these things on the bounce I can find it… it was a bloody great thrill. So for me its heartbreaking that it comes up against one of my fav thrills of recent years. Another one getting live coverage on BBC for me this one.

Important note on inclusion here - for the purposes of this tourney we are treating the current series 'Hershey' as a separate thrill and only the series from the Meg are to be considered here, not the current series of her post judicial adventures. That seemed like a good idea… as I imagine B.L.A.I.R. 1 did at some point…

Two thrills here written by talent probably better known for their art. In both cases though they show their is more to the artists bow, Steve Parkhouse has a good track record for scripting comics, Simon Fraser arguably less so BUT what are the lines you will draw for this one?

Really and Truly part of the Summer Offensive may or may not split opinions - I mean it has stunning art by Ryan Hughes. Mind Storm Warning aren’t doing too bad on the art front either returning to the Meg in January now seems the perfect chance to reflect on its powers

It's just Conan Doyle to the left
And then Houdini to the right
With dark seances on their lips
They use cricket bats in fight
But it's the stories thrust
That really drives you insane
Mind you could vote Timequake again
Let's just read Timequake again
