Gotta love the fact its got an advert for Superman vs Muhammad Ali on the back cover!

Woolly

Judging by how they've managed to print white onto bog-roll stock, I'd say it's a more modern reproduction. Just guessing though.

I'm pretty sure that's genuine: the covers of Ano 2000 were higher quality than newsprint, so the paper was white. The tan border/background is deliberate.

And here's another copy of issue #2:

Issue #3 has a blue background...

Well hello! Tulio_Vilela, formerly of this parish, mentioned this back in 2014 here: https://forums.2000ad.com/index.php?topic=39983.msg920468#msg920468

Quote from: Tulio_Vilela on 24 June, 2016, 11:33:05 PMIt wasn't the first time 2000 AD comics were published in Brazil. In 1979 EBAL, a old Brazilian publishing house, published 10 issues of "Ano 2000" (2000 Year) between february and november of that year.

"We'll send all these nasty words to Aunt Jane. Don't you think that would be fun?"

Dash Decent

"Good news, O Mighty Tharg!"
"What is, Burt?"
"You remember that you wanted us to increase the readership?  Well, I've increased it by a brazilian!"
"Just one?"
"One?  You mean 'brazilian' isn't a number?"

How great is that cover to issue 5! For me so much better than the Prog Krong cover (was it Krong?)
