Do live outside UK and subscribe to 2000ad?
Do they turn up in good condition and on time?
How long is the transit time?
Do you get the free gifts attached to progs (when they have them)?

Website and Forum / Another message board idea.
14 June, 2002, 04:59:53 PM
Wake,

1) Why are there certain messages that I can't reply to?

2) Would it be possible to add an extra column to the list of messageboard threads- in this column, it is possible for the person logged into the computer to mark threads 'to watch' so that they can easily follow any thread they want to.

You could then make another command, which would allow people to sort the messages so that the ones they are 'watching' appear at the top.

Any chance of publishing a list of Winners names on the relevant competition page, for the competitions that have been closed?

Just got back from seeing it in a ? empty cinema!
I liked it- I admit some ot the dialog is pants- just as in the others- but there are some very good points.
1) Ewan McGregor is sounding and looking more and more like Alec Guiness.
2) Jar Jar's ironic brining about the downfall of the republic.
3) C3-PO's dialog proving that despite JarJar, Lucas can do comedy!
4) The last 25 mins of action- gold (but I missed a space fight)

Did I fall asleep though? When did Lucas reveal the reason for QuiGon not disappearing?
And why is Leia a Princess if Amidala is no longer Queen?

Thoughts for Episode 3;
1) The title could still be The Clone Wars, although I'll hedge my bets that the title has something to do with the destruction of the Jedi Knights
2) Please George give us some Wookies!
3) Chances of seeing an adult Fett are slim I would think.
4) Jar Jar Executed by the Jedi Order for being the cause of the start of the Clone Wars
5) Chances of seeing a half built Death Star?
6) Ending is a huge space battle!
7) It's going to be mighty dark!
4)

General / Strontium Dog Poll
24 April, 2002, 05:47:28 PM
People who have voted on the Strontium Dog poll http://www.2000adonline.com/index.php3?zone=fan&page=poll&choice=1019310246 for the series they like the most, will be please to learn that the story that is currently in the lead- Portrait of a Mutant is being collected by Titan as a graphic Novel. Fans of SD rejoice, as SD collections have always been thin on the ground.

Prog / New series '13' by Mike Carey
11 April, 2002, 10:28:54 PM
Here's what Mike had to say about it on the DC Message Board...

13 is about human psychics, alien warrior maidens, vast machines at the Earth's core, and a theft and a murder that took place more or less at the time of the big bang. It's basically big, sprawling space opera stuff, with a sort of mystery element running alongside - the mystery concerning exactly what the stolen "artefact 13" actually is.
