I must be a right grexnix according to some then because if I saw a cover that says Mars Attacks Judge Dredd I would indeed expect it to include a story involving Mars Attacks and Judge Dredd not Mars Attacks Popeye, the Muppets, Dr Who or freaking Simon Cowell or whatever other story might randomly be in it.

You may be able to check the contents in a shop but what if you buy it online and don't realise it's a variant. Some fools might do this.
