General / Re: Alan Grant or Pat Mills - Writers Solhiem Cup - Tie 1

When Grant worked with Wagner, it was all magically so good...however, I can't say I've enjoyed his individual contributions as much. I enjoy a lot of early mills stuff, and  the Volgan Wars in more "recent" times, so its Pat for me.

Alan Grant 2 : Pat Mills 3

Cliff Robinson 4 : Arthur Ranson 1

I really do like Ranson and Button Man is a top thrill; however, so many of my favorite Dredd images and covers come from Robinson.

Cry of the Werewolf, City of the Damned, Trapper Hag. Nuff said.

For these reasons:
Steve Dillon 4 : David Roach 1

INJ Culbard 2 : Edmund Bagwell 3

Judge Klegg!

Simon Davis 1, Sean Phillips 4

I prefer Phillips, and he's endorsed by Judge Pal!

Yeah...Flint all the way here

Henry Flint 5 - Anthony Williams 0

Williams cartoon style just doesn't do it for me against Flint's flawless art.

A clean sweep to Flint so Colin can sleep again at night!

Cam Kennedy 3, Staz Johnson 2

Tough draw for Staz. His recent post here showcasing some of his commissions was greatly appreciated, he's fantastic. Kennedy is up there with Ezquerra, and has drawn too many classics to ignore.

Winslade 2 : Gibbons 3

Rogue Trooper or Lawless...two absolute favorite series. If I could own an original Rogue page, I'd pick Gibbons, but if I could have a commission from either,  I'd pick Winslade. Because of Rogue...Gibbons.

John Higgins 3 : John Ridgway 2

Tough call...I could go either way, both fantastic.

Higgins Dredd and painted works are a thing of beauty...but if I could own a single page from either of these two, it would be from The Dead Man.

Beautiful commissions, well done! Some very pleased fans who received these I'm sure!

Carlos Ezquerra 4 : Richard Elson 1

Unfortunate draw for Elson here. Kingdom is one of my all time favorite thrills, in no small part to Elson's fantastic efforts. However, like many others, I've made my passion for Ezquerra's art known, for me he can't be beat.

Langley 4 : Fabry 1

ABC Warriors Volgan War was one of the first non-Dredd thrills I read a number of years ago when getting in to 2000AD. While I enjoyed the story, it was really the art that blew me away, and it's because of the art I've re-read it twice since then!

Fabry is great, but not being a huge Slaine fan, I have less exposure to his work...the Dredd/Batman crossover first comes to mind.

Carl Critchlow 1: Simon Fraser 4
