Dunno if this is the right place to post it but this is the (spoiler free) review I've just submitted to IMDB:

I was lucky enough to see an advanced screening of this. As a huge
Dredd fan it was very important to me that they got this film right,
thankfully I needn't have worried!

The story is lean and very engaging, a welcome change from recent
bloated, pretentious superhero movies such as the Dark Knight. At 95
minutes the film races along, dragging the viewer through lightning
fast firefights and action packed set pieces while giving respite
through tripped out, slowed down narcotic scenes.

The cast are a delight, Urban is a fantastic Dredd, choosing to keep
his dialogue and grandstanding to a minimum whilst wearing his helmet
throughout, a real testament to the actor. He has an excellent screen
presence and is a real force of nature throughout the film,
breathtaking to watch! However Thurlby steals the show as Anderson,
while Dredd is stoic and unwavering, Anderson goes through a
significant physical and mental journey in the film. Lena Hedley, the
villain of the piece is fantastic! She plays it cold, cool and utterly
ruthless but with a real sense of poignant sadness too. A mention
should also be made of Dohmall Gleason who superbly portrays the
tortured techie of the bad guys.

As well as a perfect cast, the cinematography is glorious too. The
grimy, saturated mezzanines, dimly lit corridors and pixelated CCTV
views being a stark contrast to the genuinely stunning, beautiful
Slo-Mo drug sequences. During these psychedelic scenes, shards of glass
fall like snowflakes while blood and gore dance beautifully across the
screen - a real challenge for the senses!

Dredd is a triumph! It's apparent from the first scenes that everyone
involved has a real passion for the character, his creators and the
fans. Finally, Mega-City One's premier lawman has got justice!

The level of bile in the comments section is actually truly bizarre:is it always like that over there?

Yep.I tried some reasoned arguments, but resigned myself to the fact that they are all about 14 and wanking off to Batman in there parents basements...

THEIR...!

Oh noes! After reading the comments on AICN I realise that my positive review must make me a plant. Bugger, I didn't know...

MR. ELIMINATOR

Well props to bikini kill, his contribution to AICN was perfect and effective antidote: a simple series of links to positive reviews. Wish I'd thought of it.

Won't matter. They're a right bunch of arseholes over there.

Yep, but they do click on things, in their endless obsession to sound knowledgable in subjects of which they are ignorant.

MR. ELIMINATOR

Was looking at the IMDb rating again, 143 people have given it 1 star? I doubt they have even seen it. On the plus side 640 people have given it 10 stars (49.9% of votes)
