Nigel was a talented draughtsman who brought a solid base to the late 80s, scrappy 90s 2000ad

He unfortunately came of artistic age with DEADLINE & Hewlett and Bisley clones dominating the prog and don't think he got the recognition he deserved.

Extremely sad to hear of his passing. RIP.

Thought I'd pop in and say I enjoyed the Sci-Fi special

As a fan of a simpler ”clear line” style, I found a lot of the art refreshing for 2000ad.

My 2 pennies worth.

I actually asked a lady with a homemade Judge logo cardigan at the 40th if she was Mimikeke. She wasn't.

Hah! Almost did the same but someone told me it wasn't just in time.

Was a great cardigan though on a teeny lady.

Have to say the biggest revelation from the 40th weekend for me was Jesus Redondo. Seeing a page of his work on Nemesis Book 2 up close at the Cartoon Museum exhibition (Think it belonged to Wake, many fine pieces at that show had his name on them) and the art he had in his folio and his personable attitude even though an interpreter, really made me re-evaluate him.

Now as an O'Neill Nemesis page eludes me (as it does many) I've set my sights willingly on a Redondo page.

Bothered to tell Novotel, when they asked for feedback, about how crap their bar staff were on the Fri and Sat night.

Apparently they're usually praised to the hilt but were surprised by the amount of clientele on those nights.

Nice to know.
