Just as a follow-on from the previous post. In updating my CC details over the weekend, I was taken to some kind of new swanky Rebellion account site, and that site didn't recognise my subscriptions either (even though I could log-in).

Prog / Re: Prog 1921 - Fight to the Fiendish

Really good prog this week -- I'm eating these up as soon as they drop on my doormat.

Dredd - Overall, the all-action second half of this story didn't inspire me but I certainly enjoyed it. I found the ending satisfactory, but not excessively so.

Survival Geeks - This is good storytelling, and keeps the pace up as well. And the art...the character work is just superb. Really happy with this.

3rillers - This one got off to a much better start than the last one. I'm even okay with the art, where this style usually puts me off. Not sure what's happening to me.

The Order - I agree with some of my esteemed fellow posters. This needs to end, and failing that, needs to start making a little bit more sense. It started so well, but has become tedious since they went underground. I'm looking forward to reading the whole thing again, and perhaps enjoying it a lot more.

Savage - Felt a bit hokey this week, and what the hell was that last panel? His ear?

Overall, looking forward to something fresh from Dredd, and ready for Order and Savage to reach their conclusions.

Unfortunately not for me. :( I can log in absolutely fine, but it doesn't recognise my subscriptions and doesn't show any of the digital issues I own (which I assume it should).

Can I get some more help with this?

Welcome! I re-subscribed after many years in the rad-lands and haven't regretted it one bit.

I should probably check those out.

I believe the Batman "Knightfall" adaptation was by the same people, and that was absolutely amazing.

I thought the cover was a bit of a strange one, too. Arresting, though.

Dredd is still hitting the right buttons for me. Loved the bit where Anderson scoops Fire back out of Joe's brain (terrific frame too). But, like most 80's action flicks at the 90 minute mark, I'm ready for the credits to roll.

Survival Geeks is still terrific, very funny (not so much the geek humour, but the tone of the strip overall), wonderful art, lots of mystery, and a team clearly having fun with what they're doing.

The 3hriller didn't do much for me in the end. A novel idea, and imaginatively drawn, but I took next to nothing away from it.

The Order was no better or worse than last week. Feels like it's got a bit bogged down, to be honest, but still looking forward to the conclusion.

As for Savage, it really got my attention this time around. Mixed narrators, murder, betrayal. Very good indeed.

Why's this one so sought after then?

Film & TV / Re: In Space, No One Can Hear You Scream...

I'm a big fan of the original Engineers script, which is a better and more complete film that what we got but does, admittedly, slip into Aliens territory in the last third.

I would've been okay with that, mind you, but I can see how Ridley Scott, who has certainly made it clear he didn't want to make "just" another Alien film, started looking for a rewrite. It's just a pity that most of the characters suffered so badly in the process.

I honestly don't mind Aliens cubed. It was a decent enough movie that would have made an adequate sequel if it hadn't disregarded everything that made Aliens great.

But that aside, i'm pretty excited for this. I assume Promethiarse 2 has been dropped then.
Not that I've heard.

Welcome, Steve!

I have my grandma to thank, who bought me the latest prog every week so I'd have something to do when we went over for our weekly AM visit. Gawd bless you, gran!

I have similar issues...I can log-on to my account but it doesn't know anything about my subscriptions or the digital stuff I've previously purchased.

Megazine / Re: Megazine 357 - The Devil In the Red Dress

I have to say I found this Meg's Reaper very, very difficult to follow. I'm turning the pages and turning the pages, and I get the gist, but connecting these characters with earlier strips in the story is way harder than it should be. Cracking art, but I'll never get on with the photo-real characters.
