Meg 300? It's not the proper '300' though (i.e, 1,2,3-299,300). I'm glad they've got away with it for so long.

How many kids read comics or even books these days? I am sure most are happier on their xbox360/PS3/Wii/Ds or mobile. I am sure the majority read 2k or The Meg because we've stuck with it for years. I am the last of about 10 people in my circle of friends who use to all buy & read it, to still do so. Who is 2k aimed at these days?

I am pleased & surprised at the same time that The Meg has managed to keep going through so many iffy outings & re launches & re re launches. I can't see a Junior 2k could survive or indeed if there is even a place for it.

I'd guess the average 11-12 year old is a lot more savy or mature than most of us would have been back in the day.

Alpha didn't die, well JW changed his mind & other than it all being a bit rubbish, it'll all back to business as usual. #BobbyEwingshowerscenealloveragain

I'm sure the guy on the cover was Mick Hucknall on the cover, I like him almost as much as Sin/Dex

Dredd. Really enjoyed this. Story feels like it's not all over just yet & the worry is now do we go back to lots of dull filler Dredd stories... March surely would also get the boot from MC1 & any other clones would be tested or removed from the streets?

Not reading Savage, gave up trying a long time back.

I've loved SD for as long as I can remember & the death of Alpha was shocking for me as a young reader. Now it was all lies & bullshit. Bad call 2000ad! I boo you! A very boring story slowly unfolding. The art is not very good either. The same team who just did such a good job on ToD? Really? The art of which wasn't as good as the older ArtDroid working alone. The story & the way the Feral character is being shat upon make me feel that its a case of sour grapes from JW.

If Alpha pops up alive - which looks a bit more certain than before - it'll make 2000ad more like the likes of Marvel or DC who as we all know kill of & bring back characters on a very regular basis.

Well, luckily after e-mailing a few, one online comic store did pre-order this for me.

300, that's pretty historic.

There's been way more issues than 300 & the current numbering was also changed, if I remember correctly. Nice The Meg is still going, but it can't be on solid ground. It's been wobbling along for some time. I still read it, but find that most of it, like movie reviews are done elsewhere & done better. As a long time reader of 2k & earlier Meg - I don't want to pay for reprints I didn't like in the first place & if I wanted Tank Girl - I'd go & buy it. Give me Dreddworld Meg without the padding & I'd buy it again for sure. But I AM happy its got as old as '300ish' 

After missing out back in December due to moving, I'd hoped to have been joining you for this. But alas it wasn't to be. Good luck one & all.

As a long term reader of SD, I loved 'The Final Solution' the death of Alpha really shocked me. Feral WAS a good character. I'm not liking the direction the story seems to be taking. Alpha wasn't scorched to the bone & fell apart.. he was still flesh & blood & sat up... the setup is Feral is now a bad dude. Or seems to be. I suspect he's going to turn out to be the mutie who saved Alpha. Which for me would be a shame.
