Now that is a top top cover. Love it. Wednesday can't come along soon enough for my liking. I can't imagine Dredd'll end up in the top spot, though clearly PJ's part in the story is far from over. S/D, I think I'll have to wait & see whats going on for myself rather than just read about it here. Alpha back from the dead would be a stomm outcome.  :-X

Welcome. I've only just come back to this site after a very long absence & I love what they've done to the site. Excellent stuff.

Welcome to the board / I'm not new to 2k
« on: 16 June, 2010, 10:18:19 AM »
Greetings

I've not been on this site very much & wasn't aware that it's been much improved over the old style & hence I've been hanging out mostly on the excellent 2000ad review site. I'm just about to go & hunt down this weeks prog. I've been reading 2k without much of a break since about prog 555 & at one time owned almost all of them before having to claim the space back. Other than 2k I read The Walking Dead which I love too. I also struggle to keep up & read The Megazine which I find to often be the sick half brother (or the Rico to Joe's Dredd?) but again have enjoyed it in various incarnations over many many years.

I've now firmly added this site as a bookmark & plan to dwell here a plenty.

Alpha did have the ability to time travel, although wasn't it just via the dog house? But Alpha of old, knew he had to die to save the others... we don't need two characters with smaller boots ...

We've yet to see the Judge Dredd bunion removal prog, it's where wearing the wrong sized boots for years has damaged his feet & he's going to need to have it removed. Six weeks taking it easy with his foot up... it could be the next not so epic epic

My first time back on this site in a very long time (I'm usually on 2000ad Review), I've yet to see this prog & hope to pick mine up tomorrow ASAP. I loved SD & was truly gutted/blown away when Alpha died. It really did make a big impact because 2000ad just didn't kill these guys... & then... he dead...

So, I hope Alpha stays dead & that he's not brought back, because I think he'd suffer like characters like Judge Death, Orlock, Sin/Dex, Slaine', Rogue Trooper, ABC Warriors etc with too much over use. Maybe that's why we love him, because we've always been kept wanting more?

Judge Dredd sounds very interesting too, though I can't imagine him behind a desk. A swerve ball I think..? What of PJ Maybe?

I think it's a good thing to change the Logo from time to time, but they're really only added to the current one. Which we've had more or less in the same guise since when? Prog 555 or something?

Looking at the top 50:-

I can't see why any Star Wars films are in there to be honest. I really like Shawshank, but how its at number two I don't know . . .

As for The Godfather at number 1... it is a very good film, but two is better still . . .

Hi

I don't see that the missing 16 pages is such an issue. As long as it's the bad 16 pages, re-prints and fill in crap that got cut.

It might have been better if rather than hiding behind a silly gimic of a cut out cover and a slight relaunch - the Meg and Alan were clean about the changes.

That way nobody could have taken issue. His comments aren't offensive - but we pay his wages. He should take into consideration that many more people use the web now than a few years back.

An obvious place for a new Meg reader to go would be here or 2000adreview forum...

What a silly idea.

What about if JD became x y or z. Yawn. Why not read a different comic...
