Well finally got around to finishing The Gate last night and not sure why I bothered. A seemingly random series of not at all scary stuff. I was kinda hoping for a hidden gem of an 80s horror. Nothing of the sort and the 2000ad cover was by far the best thing in this movie.

Entirely pointless!

Star Wars - 1950's Super Panavision 70 makes me think of what I imagine a bad trip would be like, although if I was actually on 'shrooms I'd probably think this was the most genius thing I'd ever seen, and that the AI must've been tripping balls when it made it.

The best part was Paul and John playing a chord!

Convince me I'm wrong?

Great to see Jamie Smarts success. His take on Desperate Dan and Korky were really fresh, but not enough to save the Dandy. All the local book shops here in a small town have loads of his books and others like Dog Man, and are now stocking a small amount of Manga and DC collections as well.

That's really tough. After initially enjoying it a lot, it trailed off a bit for me and I stopped getting it, but I might give it a punt again. Its an amazing thing to get a comic of any sort into newsagents. Lovely format.

It's great to see so many boarders able to attend this year's Lawless. I hope to put a lot of faces to the names on here - Barrington Boots & Jim I have faces so can pick them out. Maybe a name badge with our board names on would help 😂😂😂

On the Saturday look out for the mad Scotsman or the guy with blue GI T on and the Sunday I'll risk wearing a RoK of the reds away top (shouldn't really wear a football top at my age 😁)
Is there anyone else going to the bash on the Saturday evening?

Godzilla x Kong - The new Empire. Huge great monsters knocking huge great chunks out of one another while crushing huge great numbers of people underfoot. I watch these films because they're the ones the eight-year-old me always wanted to watch. He's still in here, loving this awesome rubbish and wondering why I don't play out any more.

That list is definitely out of date — I'm not on it, either!  :D

Here's the most up-to-date guest list, from the Lawless FB page...
