Everything that man does is pure gold.  I try to maintain cynicism re: PR spin of a national space agency versus real science, but it just doesn't work - that humans can work together to put a guy like in space to entertain, educate and inspire gives me hope.

Pretty much every kid in Canada - including my daughter - joined in with that song in one day. There were organised events at elementary schools all over the country. Now all the children want to be astronauts - and, with all the advances we have seen, it seems like they might even manage it.

Absolutely loved it !!....OK, it's maybe not the best version ever ......but the fact that he's actually up there, and singing it, brings a little joy into my life !!.... I mean the mans' in outer space, and he's got a guitar,  and he's singing to us !!.....Beats 'BGT' and 'The Voice' for sheer entertainment value in my book.....Great stuff and just awesome...
