Artie Gruber was one of the iconic images that really stuck in my mind as a kid - that eyeball!
In fact, I think that it was the artie gruber stories that kept me reading in the 70s when I may have abandonned 2000ad for Krazy comic or the like. I had that starscan from prog 74 on my wall for years (That's why my old progs are worth jackshit these days!)
That 3D version form Mike Carrol is fantastic!

That's taken from the scene when Artie Gruber escapes from the hospital. Except somebody has added a pair of legs without doing a particularly good job of it.

Reminds of when the annuals would reprint stuff and get some droid to scribble extra stuff in the panels so the artwork could be re-sized.
Not sure if pervert or cheesecake expert.

Didn't have anything as cool as a Ker-Pow t shirt when i were five. And if i had any t-shirts at all i'm guessing i'd find them real cringeworthy now.
