Title: caballistics trade...?
Post by: Tu-plang on 15 July, 2005, 02:13:53 PM
I know that this has probably been answered a few million times, but there's nothing on Amazon, so has the Cabs trade got a date to it yet?

February 2006, according to the flyers hande out at Bristol.

Contents *may* be up to "Weird War Tales", but that hasn't been confirmed yet.

It's been a hell of a wait. IIRC, US-sized comic reprints of Cabs were first mooted when Rebellion & DC were talking about a line of Quality-style reprints.

When the Rebellion/DC line of trade reprints replaced them, Cabs got moved to the back of the queue. Then there was Tharg's semi-official announcement of a trade release this autumn, but that came before the collapse of the Rebellion/DC deal, so the trade got pushed back into 2006.

In a way, it might work out quite nicely. By the time the first volume of Caballistics, Inc. is published in February (and assuming it collects everything up to "Weird War Tales"), we'll have at least another 60-odd pages of story to collect, and that's not including any tales that may appear between now and then. Hopefully that will mean a second book can follow fairly promptly on the heels of the first.
