One of my favorite sites of all time that one.

I must get round to trying the Jimmy Olsen Superpowers Drinking Game sometime.

LOL bizarro Superdickery website with a great Gorillas section. (What the hell was the fascination with gorillas in comics back then?) And real dodgy Lois Lane covers. One would say rather 'slutty', Message Board Code of Conduct permitting.

As a kid I thought DC Comics were tosh in comparison to Marvel, proved of course by a copy of Superman I saw, in which following an earthquake, Superman bent a lamp post into the shape of a giant needle and using power cables as thread, literally sewed the ground together.

I finally got my hands on 'Slaine Time-Killer' today in another Comic book store. ( A old favorite of mine) I saw it there, it was just coinincidence tha I happen find it. Whilst picking up the deposit I paid for it and one of the other two books from the other bookstore I will be no longer visiting.

Why did I say this here.....

As I started reading this one on the train home. reading this once again.......

Fourth panel, fourth page, part Three of DragonHeist.....

Nest's uncle Grug who the Worm's head is saying
'In case you get any... ideas I'll tell you where I keep my dragonhoard'.

Maybe, I just took that statement out of context or maybe he was drunk.

It just sounds like the most illogical thing for even a drunken brute to just blurt out to a complete stranger where he keeps his money.

Also, it maybe worth mentioning that he feeding his young dragons. He's waering his fire proof head covering and mittens when feeding the young dragons. Though the rest his of body unprotected espeically his upper arms which are still mostly exposed with no sign of heat scarring.

Of course, I should be expected to take a few liberties as this one of my favorite fantacy fictions and just enjoy the story for what it is.

BTW, the print, is much better than the first book. Though I'm disppointed that there was no forward/recap/lexicon and it finishes right where Myrddin says 'The Dark God Is Awakening'.

Comics are stupid...

...something I've been pondering quite a lot lately when I've been thinking about popping into town on a Thursday for comics but not really feeling enthusiastic about it, and when I get there, actually hoping that there won't be anything for me to buy. And then when I do buy them, they sit by my bed, unread, for weeks.

But not 2000ad. That's one title I never get tired of, and which I almost always read before the next issue appears. Oh, and the same goes for Walking Dead. I've got plenty of enthusiasm for that. So they're not all stupid, evidently. Just anything published by DC or Marvel, or most independents.
